Who I Am
I became interested in art when my sister gave me a book of Picasso prints when I was about 9 years old.
I took up photography and participated in various juried shows and exhibits in Canton and Saranac Lake, NY as well as having photographs published in an overseas design school, various websites to promote landmarks, and featured in ads and in publications that support NY State public lands and parks in upstate NY.
I eventually learned to crochet and began creating my own patterns soon after, displaying them in monthly shows in a local gallery in Troy, NY. While I no longer partake in this form of art it was invaluable to helping me increase my skills and knowledge of other art forms.
Then I became interested in painting/drawing using a variety of mediums but my favorite, by far, is ink.
I like to challenge myself to try something new every year so I also started sculpting in polymer clay, but only as a side quest. My first love is still painting.
