New Work: 2/28 - 3/14 2023
My personal new year of art starts March 1st but this one started a day early as I had to wrap up my annual year-in-review video to be able to post it in time.
I do some kind of art daily - some in a private art journal and some in the form of art projects I’m currently involved in but these are the pieces I share publicly. I’ve added them to the portfolio pages.

We’ve had a comparatively mild winter (until the end of February and through the first half of March) but my thoughts are are turning toward slightly warmer weather.

I almost discarded this one early on. It just wasn’t turning out how I wanted - but then I added some highlights and it all came together.

A quick painting is all I had time for that day. It’s not my favorite of all the fox paintings I’ve done but given the small amount of time put in, it’s okay.

I wasn’t sure how I felt about this one at first but after a while it grew on me.

This started out as a simple pencil drawing intended for my art journal but I couldn’t leave it at that, I had to add ink to it the next day.

We were hit with a huge snow storm which led to my day job closing down for the day so, naturally, I spent my time painting rather than shoveling.
